This book was written and self-published ©2011 by first-time Author Robert ( Bob) J. Mercier of New Berlin Wisconsin. The lessons in this book teach people how to get close to mature whitetail bucks while hunting them, or while taking their photograph, during the rut. Bob quit deer hunting in 1991 after shooting a monster buck and losing the animal. He picked up a video camera instead of a weapon and set out on a mission to learn what made mature whitetail bucks tick! After filming deer year round through two rutting seasons in the wild, in an area that was 6 miles long and 3 miles wide, Bob knew whitetail behavior better than anyone he knew. Bob learned that there were 5 herds in that area, and each herd had its own king (dominant buck). Dominant bucks live totally different lives than the rest of the herd bucks do. Bob learned what all deer do to detect danger and how to think like a deer. Bob walks like a deer, talks like a deer, and reads deer and human sign like a deer. He can walk within 15 yards of almost any bedded down deer and has been able to get within 3 feet of a bedded 10-point monster buck, a 6-point buck, and a doe, on seperate ocassions without the deer ever knowing that he was a human. Deer cannot see, hear, or smell a person when they are using D.I.E. as directed. You are invisible to deer when you hunt with D.I.E.!
